WOW is not the right word. Fantastic is more like it. I went through this thread way too fast. It will keep me busy for a least a couple weeks. Thanks for posting. Awesome stuff. Gary

Does anyone know of a speedster for sale?

I am looking to purchase one similar to the white #29 rocket-powered or the black one with the fin of the photo that rbantique posted.

Some of us, take three years,
to build what Norm does in three months! ;)
Norm was kind enough to sell me a continental kit cover-hoop. The S.S. makes great cycle fenders.
Thanks to Rickster for these pics.

Hell, I would be happy if I had the talent to do it in 3 decades!

I recently purchased the 33 roadster Ute seen on page one of this thread. Looks a little different now. Painted satin white, but looks to be mechanically the same. I would like to find out some history on the build of it. Is there a way to get in touch with Paul here on the forum, or by another means that anyone can fill me in on?

I bought a 28 A that Paul Normand 'built' that was imported to UK.
Not knocking the guy as he is a prolific builder - but I know how he manages to turn projects around so quickly.
The car I bought was literally just thrown together.
None of the mechanicals had been overhauled, king pins were shot - steering box was total rubbish, no bearings and loosely fitted to frame, brakes all needed re doing - front suspension was siezed and binding - rear axle had teeth missing and no oil, engine needed all new ignition and waterpumps. It had a lovely paintjob and cheap generic vinyl interior.

Body panels were all rusty on the inside.

I spent 18 months going thru and rebuilding the whole car - then I sold it as I was sick of it.

That's a sad story...After blood sweat and tears you let it go rather than enjoy what you turned it into...I hope you have rounded that out with a new adventure...it sure looks smart in that pic...and even nice to see a Special still a Special...

In reply, Paul ran a highly reputed body shop in MA for years. My guess is he knows that craft fwd&bkwards. ;) thanks to RBantique for these beauties!
