Pretty sure you're thinking of Mickey Thompson and his wife, both shot to death in the driveway of their Bradbury, Ca., home. I believe Steve Bovan was shot to death in the parking lot of a bar in Newport Beach, Ca.

 

This is what I understand to be true.

Anyone know what happened to the remake of the Pandemonium Barracuda?
I saw it at a Bakersfield (Famoso) race a few years back. Saw it once, then never saw or heard of it since.

Definitely an odd couple...injected Ford and a blown Chrysler.
Why???

 

Simple, his aircraft starter motor for the blown hemi died and he wanted to go racing that weekend.

 

The team of Shaw and Vasquez - very short lived effort - later went on to set an A/FD record with an injected Ford.

 

Maybe because the Chevy is lightning off the line but dies at the1200 foot mark and the Hemi doesn't come alive until the 1000 foot mark.
