Technical Vehicle ID Help Please

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 59BuickWagon, Feb 6, 2021.

  1. A friend of mine got this sedan and it came with a title saying it was a 1931 Ford. Well it's pretty obvious that it's not (unless it's some foreign built odd ball like from Argentina or somewhere.)

Did some Googling and I think it may be a 1931 Chrysler but I'd like to drawn on the wisdom of the HAMB and see if anyone has better idea.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. Yes, a 70 seems real close. Chrysler 70 that is.

    Sure looks like it

  4. May be titled as a 31 Ford because of the numbers on the frame.

Whoever chopped it left the door gaps a bit generous at the roofline!

  6. If there were 1932 Ford numbers stamped on the frame I'm guessing the factory didn't do the stamping:)

  7. Or build the frame!

  8. No guessing there - that's for sure!!

It's a Chrysler products body. ID by the detail on the top of the cowl. Unique to the maker. Could possible be a Dodge but memory fails.

Maybe with a bunch of work that could be built into a hotrod....
