    Thanks for all the information on the Phoenix. My connection was being in the class 8 Truck Parts Business for 50 years and knowing these guys...
    Took some pictures of my 1988 trip at Bonneville to show a customer..
    George Nielsen who was racing a '65 Peterbilt at Woodburn Drag Strip
    George got interested in Bville and got info from BNI/ SCTA.
    Ended up with a few LSR of his own with his build of "Ye Olde Dragon"

    I was working 'IMPOUND" for many of those years. They would pull up and park outside. They opened the engine covers with broom sticks. Then go to lunch. It was so hot you couldn't get to close to it. It would sit there and snap and crackle and wait to go into impound and 4 hours of thrashing. Great memories!
