I took my '53 F100 completely apart and didn't break a single bolt. The '70's and '80's models I've taken apart ended up with many broken bolts.
Every bolt and screw that I took out of my '55 Ford Sedan Delivery that had been sitting for years in a guy's front yard in New Mexico came out easy. Probably the combination of high desert and no humidity.
Just so I understand this, you’re telling us that you have a umm, screw loose? Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Seems when I was younger, I had a lot of screws. Not so many now. I guess when you get older, you don't need as many screws (according to the wife).
Thanks @ClayMart , an interesting interlude in my day. Also interesting to note, the video is 18 minutes and 33 seconds long. The first three replies are up within 12 minutes. And of the other reply posts, I would estimate that only two actually watched the whole thing. See if you can guess which two.
An impressive turn-around time of a mere three minutes. And the gold medal goes to......................................
I had some screws I couldn't get out of a 59 Olson Grumman. I tried to drill them out and they ate the drill bits. Half the new screws I put in these days strip when installing them. Somebody probably makes grade 8 screws but I haven't seen any locally.
