Hi guys, well the T is done and gone so now Im back to my own stuff.Finishing up my 33 Chev PU then its back to the shoebox. Will have some more pics in a week or 2
Got a new computer and had to re register but Im still old ford coupe guy. I will try to get it back but Im not sure how.
I finally had some time to work on the 51. Got some pics too View attachment 4780988 View attachment 4780988
Finally had time to work on the 51. Got the hinges off and yes, I had to drill them out. Ordered new ones. Next I have to take that crease out of the quarter. I thought the hinges were worn but it turns out some of the pins were broken. Cool pin striping on the glove box done many years ago.Found a whole bunch of lead on the front of the hood. Does that make it a lead sled?lol
The car is in the shop and Im working full time on it . I chose to install an aftermaket front end kit so I am not sure if this build should be here now. Please advise.
Progress is slow but I got some done. Got the rear corner back into shape and bolted the Tbird rear end in with 2in blocks. They already have 2in lowering perches , so its now 4in lower.
Its been a while but I am making slow progress .Collision damage is repaired and the rear bumper is on . Mocked up the skirts .
Got it on the ground to have a look. Sits just were I want. Has 4in blocks and 2 leaves out of the springs. Its getting there!
Did you put any quick disconnects in to facilitate removing the dash again? I did and that enabled me to wire the dash on the bench, install it then plug it in. I used 6 pin trailer connectors.
I love the Gold flake/Pearl white interior, the dash is amazing! Very cool Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Sweeet! My '49 sedan, with 3" blocks, had clearance issues when the kids were in the back seat... (and coolers, sleeping bags, lawn chairs, suitcases in the trunk) How's yours? I raised the driveshaft tunnel up a couple inches and it was fine. I ran a 350/350 with the stock 6 cylinder rear end for years with no issues.
I pre wired the dash before installation. Left the wires long enough to hook up. Good idea with the plugs though
Did some more work last summer along with other projects. It runs, stops and steers . I bagged the rear to have height control. some pics On the road next year!
Hello all, well its finally on the road! Took it for a drive last evening and made it home without a tow. Still bugs to iron out but its running!
Looks great!! Love the colors of your interior.. I’m looking to do white and gold in my 51 coupe. Nice to see that it’s on the road, can’t wait until I can do the same!
