Well there are so many, but here's a couple of not so common ones I like. 1937 Diamond T truck and a 1936 Cord
This one does it for me. 1955 Thunderbird. Factory mechanical tach. Gorgeous dash clock. It's so simple, but so elegant to me.
Ramblers must be very slow. Their speedometer only go up to 12, Sent from my SM-T350 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
My top two favorite dash's bone stock are 59/60 Impala's and 55 Chevy Bel Air's with its little bowtie trim
All though I had looked at a lot of dash's,it was not tell I started too look for my own idea of what I thought was cool as my first car. Turned out I had to build one,but in the looking early on,two stand out, were I loved n wanted the hole car. I had found a 1953 Studebaker hardtop V8(that didn't run) in 1955> but Dad would not sign for it. The same thing happened too the next (Didn't run car;1936 Cord) both with in my saved up $500). The dash in both,I loved. I built my own hot rod,so my fav. dash became that. Years later after getting a wife an house,I did finely get my Studebaker low cool hardtop; a used Supercharged 1957 Golden Hawk. < I still think it's dash super cool. Even better to me then my hotrod dash, yet the handmade wood trim an simple in my hot rod get's it done !
Monitoring all your gauges with everything directly in front of you, and without having to glance down or take your eyes off of the road, is beyond convenient. Muntz Road Jet.
I gotta go with the 58-62 Corvette. I have had a 58 and a 59 and I fell in love with the dash layout.
I should have been up earlier so I could beat @dana barlow This is the instrument panel in my 53 Stude Coupe, it's a later Hawk panel and I have two more of them just stashed away
this is the image I was exposed to from a baby. Is it no wonder I turned into a car guy? Check out the map of north and South America in the steering wheel. Staring out over the hood you were looking at the vapor trails of a beautiful chromed jet plane. 1955 olds 88
Ooohhh, so many choices.... Being more of a Kustom guy, I like the more flamboyant dashes; slathered with chrome and heavily sculpted. In no particular order.... '57 Imperial. Even Mr. Magoo could see these! '50-51 Merc. I'm surprised that this dash isn't used more often in other cars. '56 DeSoto. Classic 'wing' design. '63-64 Mercury. Much flashier than it's plainer Ford brother, no idiot lights either. '63 Riv. One of the better jobs of integrating the console into the dash. A bit 'angular', not quite as swoopy as my other choices. '58-60 T-bird. I also have to include the '61-63 'Birds; same basic styling, but an even better job of integrating the console and even more 'flash'. There's others, some already shown. Olds did some great dashes too.
Duesenberg Model J. The dash that launched a thousand hot rod dashes. Made in Indianapolis, not Detroit, but American made.
I fell in love with this dash layout in the late 60's. A 55 ford was my first car so ... Image taken from the internet. Ignore the dice, if you can.
I’ve always loved the ‘49 Ford dash. Everything from the center clock pod to the contours of the steel (before they chromed the wingtips in ‘50) to the gauge pod itself just looks simple and perfect to me.
I like these, but it would be hard to put one in anything but a custom..... Also a big fan of the 1 gauge does all, like this Rambler.
