^^^^^^^^ "The Choppers" movie 1961. Good for Hot rod watching from the earlier days. Only the copies I've seen are pretty poor.
[QUOTE="swi66, post: 13927048, member: 84325 Same pic. Some one photo shopped Harry out. Some where in here, there is a story about a hunting camp, wild turkey, a dude named Bruce or Lance(or both), and a pile of divorce attorneys. [/QUOTE]
XP300 was a Buick concept car and the Ford Astro was part of the 1963 (the program ran from ‘62-‘65) Custom Car Caravan. Eight or ten customizers were selected to restyle a Ford vehicle and the cars were shown at Custom car shows to build interest in Ford products. I remember George Barris, the Alexander Bros, Bill Cushenberry, and Ed Roth among others, being involved.
The copy on Amazon Prime is actually pretty good. Great movie. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Does the Car out of Choppers still exist? Any History on it? It seems like Tommy Ivo had something to do with the car, maybe owned or built it? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ That T has a Buick engine and also brakes, plus all the carbs. I just checked, it is Tommy Ivo's T! Good eye!
