Projects 41 plymouth coupe 392 hemi build thread

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by farmer12, Apr 7, 2010.

  1. Mufflers look tight, but I wouldn't worry about it, that far back they will really muffle the sound. My ISO Rivolta has them all the way in the back and they don't get hot and have not caused any problems. I'll try to find a picture of the back quarter where they are mounted.

    You guys know that Eric has not been heard from in over a year. Right? There are lots of Hamb'ers who would like to see this finished.

    I just caught up on this thread , and having had a 1940 Plymouth Business coupe with a 291 DeSoto hemi , I feel a kindred spirit.:oops:

    I know life has a way of changing things but a quick note wouldn't hurt.
    Examples;
    1. "Lost interest." No probs, we all been there.
    2. "Don't have enough time to work on it." No probs, we all been there.
    3. "Budget has gone thru the roof." see one and two response.
    4. Someone stole it.
    5. Confiscated because its too powerful for European roads.
    6. Confiscated because it makes those loud V-8 sounds like those Americans like to make.
    7. Decided to drop the hemi into a Peaugot body.
    8. Had to build a new frame because the Peaugot now squats like duck.
    Things happen.:D

  28. I exchanged messages with Eric a long while back. I was looking at the car when it was originally up for auction. I'm sort of glad I didn't grab it at the time.

    He sold the car? I wasn't aware. Which auction?

  30. This was BEFORE he got the car, it was up for auction on eBay. I believe the car is still over in Europe.
