Good thread I like seeing the comparison of other brand cars that competed with the A Models and there are some great looking hot rods.

    Keep them coming.

  21. Thanks John, contrary to popular belief there are some nice cars other than Fords, this thread just gives them a place to shine.

I'm sure there are a lot of Hambers that are members of the non Ford camps and I hope more guys step up and show off their hard work, HRP

To be honest, the popularity of Ford and Chevrolet in the late '20s and early '30s seems to be price based. Most of the other marques were more expensive, and therefore sold less, leading to the 'big two' dominating the market.

I am not bashing either Ford or Chevy here. Just stating the facts.;)
Some of the other brands are just as impressive as a hot rod, if not more so.........................

  26. Granted, Ford had the market covered when it came to price, but as to hot rods the guy's that build the non Fords don't have it as easy as the 28-31 Model A guys do. HRP

Definately not. Cars and parts can be a bit thin on the ground, and attitudes to things outside the mainstream can be a little blinkered at times.
To me, that makes it even more worthwhile. Nothing wrong with building 'outside the box'.

  28. Exactly the reason for this thread, to give these guys credit! HRP

The thread is a great idea. Too often the focus is on the Ford stuff. There are some awesome non-Ford rods out there. Keep 'em coming...............
