Ha...I'd still build cars from rotted rusted parts

  7. Now that you didn't win the big money, Don't forget to get up Sunday when the alarm goes off so you get to NED early enough to get the really rusted parts not that shiny new shit.

It’s been a while since I posted about the ‘32
It’s been in storage for a few years while Iv been working on another car. I swapped storage spots a few weeks ago.
Iv kinda had a fluctuating problem with the car...I run low pressure electric fuel pumps on all my cars and still use a fuel pressure regulator. To be honest I would get the regs from my local auto zone,,you know the Mr. gasket chrome knob type adjustable ones. Iv had nothing but problems with the last 3 of them, the car would run good, turn it off and start it again....would run like crap, skip n pop.
I removed the reg and installed a Holly adjustable, the style with the gauge......so much better! Car runs mint.

plans are to do tear down, media blast, finish the metal work and maybe some paint.

Man I've been telling you for years to throw those POS Mr. Gasket regulators in the trash. It was one of those things that nearly got me killed trying to cross five lanes of traffic on 84 coming back from the Road Agents show.

Those things (push 'n twist regulators) were excrement 40 years ago! I'm sure they haven't revised the manufacture to better standards since!

Hello Pete, I must have had my head in the sand. I only just found this build thread and I just read it from start to finish. You did a great job. Mart.

    Had a few cars
Had a few of cars in my years of reconstructing that looked exactly like this, followed by the words from my wife "what are you going to do with that" The satisfaction was always in the finished results. I endeavored to persevere, and she approved. Keep the fire burning and enjoy your results.

Pete and a few friends put on one hell of a show, it was fantastic. Pete also let me run his car through the 1/8th a couple times. I have to say this car is rock solid, is wicked fast, and bad to the bone. Thanks again man, you made my weekend.

You lucky guy you...that would have been a hoot...probably quicker on pavement than sand eh! Axles fixed too...I think it was welded aka posi for Trog...and give out after winning the race...that was no doubt taken care of long ago...

I used a 1957 Ford Customline 4-door sedan roof on my 1932 Ford 2 door sedan. My son trimmed and welded it on just recently and said that with a bit of trimming it fit on the ‘32 like it was made for it !

@Pete, you put some 34 ford parts and replaced a welded Posi type of arrangement with the newer parts, they are the same welded...I get it's truly a race Hotrod...so it makes sense your not driving it as a streeter...

I have basic understanding of the old fixes for racing...the Chicken Coupe...So Cool...Congrats on the Events Success...I just noticed the Club name had 2 r's in Torrnado's...

@Stogy the Torrnados were named after Torr Skoog, a close friend of Pete's and an Alter Boy awhile back.

Thanks Wheeldog I probably read that too...Koolkat called his Inspired Roadster the Skoog Special or something along those lines I recall...still around too...it's be a pretty competitive Hotrod...you fellas have a great lineage in Hotrod in that Region of Square Roll Bars...
