Recommend Crane Cams. Give them a call, they have done Brit cams for many years. Bet that they have the specs.

  3. Have you checked with Schneider cams ?
They are out there not far from where you live .

My thoughts exactly. Ask to talk to Jerry Cantrell, if anybody knows he will.

Engine camshaft all Range Rover Classic & Discovery Ser1 3.5 & early 3.9 engines genuine part number ETC6850L fits models with V belt drive (imperial cam). Lots of Rover/Buick V8 performance groups and parts in UK. It appears that there were some variations specific to capacities over time, 3.5, 3.9, 4.2 & 4.6.

OEM Cam specs ETC6850: INLET OPENS: 30 BTDC, CLOSES 75 ABDC, DUR 285, VALVE PEAK 112.5 ATDC. EXHAUST OPENS 68 BBDC, CLOSES 37 ATDC, DUR 285, VALVE PEAK 105.5 BTDC

Maximum valve lift that a standard engine can take is 0.44". Any more than this requires modification of the valve guides as a minimum. .... I can't locate anything specific on OEM lift, maybe an email to the UK?
