Technical 292 inline waterpump

    will the waterpump from a 250 bolt on and work on a 292 ?

    I think the difference is in the coolant bypass outlet that can be drilled and tapped on the 250 to match the 292. Someone correct me if wrong. Glynn.

    There are two different heights 3-7/8 for 1975 to 1989 292s and 4-9/16 for 1963 to 1974 292s. They used 6 different balancers to juggle belt alignment. Check with Davis speed equipment,com for photos. Glynn.

    It will physically fit but the impeller on the 292 is slightly larger. There will likely be a difference in flow , may cause overheating problems.

    ok . thanks . its going in a car . it should cool fine .
