Copy of DSCF3705.jpg DSCF3708.jpg 1929 Chevrolet. These were full wood frame bodies in Australia. This car still has the original wood in it.

  5. Chevy's here in the States were also wood construction with the skin's nailed to the wooden frame work.

I helped a friend that scored a 32 Chevy sedan for what seemed like penny's on the dollar until he discovered what the wood frame kit cost, he ended up spending a boat load of money just to get the body ready for paint. HRP

I was lucky enough to have a body in good condition. Boxing the frame meant the doors stayed shut. Our version of hinges and locks was very basic but it worked ok. By keeping the wood and not painting the car I saved thousands of dollars on this build and had a cool car as well.

  12. The lines on that car actually make that 80/90s grille look good.
