Driving a friend's 32' 5-window today. A seventy mile trip through the Missouri countryside. Returning it to him following some Winter paint touchup and minor repairs.

 

Finally got to take a ride in our Corvair that has been torn apart for a year or so yesterday. A little chilly with the top down, but we were just glad it moved under its own power again.

 

Got a little too far off the beaten track today.......

My wife's twin called and said she just made a big pot of Enchilada Soup so we better get our butts up there before it's all gone, So we jumped in the 58 and hauled butt. 130 mile dive each way for a bowl of soup. Yeah it was a good day.

When doing our pandemic emergency, short, in town errands, up pops a couple of cool 50s style cars. Of course, my wife saw the yellow convertible first and said, “What a neat convertible.” I was more partial to the early hot rod, no hubcap look, of the Ford sedan behind the convertible.


Regardless of the pandemic situation, there are some cool sights to see as errands get done. It was a nice day for a cruise to get some stuff done and enjoy the hot weather, along the ocean views.

The Ford sedan has been seen in plenty of other times elsewhere in So Cal, but the yellow 53 Plymouth Convertible is now seeing the light of day in recent weeks. Both cars are keepers and would be cool So Cal cruising hot rod, mild custom cars.

Makes me want to relocate

 

From this past Tuesday taking a drive over my lunch break trying to blow dry after a wash. The 56 has become my backup in case my daily has any issues as far as getting back and forth from work, etc...
