Trying to mount this windscreen on my Roadster. Should there be some sort of threaded nut in the side of the frame to screw the studs into? There is only holes . windshield.jpg

Memory says the studs were in the roadster w/s frame,
loosen one side's lower stanchion bolts /screws, run the other side's stud through the hole, slide the stud through the hole, re-tighten the stanchion... tighten the wing nuts... HIH.

These are the studs I have which I believe are correct. There is nothing in side holes to screw into. Should there be some type of nut?

Yes, but more of a rectangular piece of flatbar, drilled and tapped, and inside the frame.

If your not seeing any threads in side the hole on side of windshield frame,=they maybe rusted out or stripped out.?
The round frame is held together around the glass by two "L"slevels; The top tube of frame has one side of "L" locked in,and the other side of "L" slides down in to the side of frame=and lock into it by the bolt/that is also the mount to stantion. The Frame swings out on same bolt.

If threads are gone on leg of "L",you may need a new tube frame or have to make a custom bolt/stud ,after taping out to bigger size very carefully/or take frame apart to do it/so glass is portected.

Tip upside down and shake it, the threaded bung may have slid down the tube with time...
also if you can take it apart you may have to replace it if someone else scarffed it...

There's a cone that fits over the stud an held inplace by a low dished nut on too the stud. The stanchsion has a cup for the cone to fit in,then a hand nut/or wingnut holds them together,an let you adjust windshield in or out. https://cwmoss.com/collections/model-a/products/windshield-frame-cone
Other places have the parts too. A pretty girl is extra!!!
