Scooping something up for $52 ,000 isn’t a daily occurrence for me and if I was buying a 32 5 window for anywhere near that much it would have full fenders . :D

cool car and looks great, but $50,000 ain’t chump change ! And that car does not appear to be worth that, more in the 20’s I would think

yep, cool car ... I like a lot of it, but not the price. I says negotiable, maybe they'll take the 20's offer. ;)

If I had $50 grand, I'd buy something that would pay for itself, like another semi truck or a backhoe or something. But I don't so I ain't gonna....

Of course, there's probably a few that have slipped away to contact the owner.

If you see one like this in the 28 to 32K range let me know ;)

I thought that the price wasn’t too far off the mark, for an original car, but obviously so far I appear to be the only one that thinks that way !
    Nice car.
Thanks for bringing it to our attention......

  12. I don’t think the price is to far off the mark considering what basket case ‘32’s seem to go for, however it’s out of the league I play in that’s for sure!! Nice car though.

  13. This hobby has enthusiasts of all different walks of life, social/economic status.
The price may not be an issue at all for some people who like that particular car, and will pay the asking price for the right to own it, cost being a secondary issue, the "right car" being at the forefront.
Certain people with the means will see a car, like it, buy it, without the consideration of "shopping around" for a "deal".

  14. That’s almost a bargain if you are paying someone to build.

And as the ad says, it IS the rare "2-door" coupe. As opposed to the common 4-door coupe.

  20. I totally agree, the price seems to be inline for what nice all steel 32's are priced although I'm not a player but there are a lot of guy's out there with deep pockets.

I will say if Marie Osmond shows up at my front door with balloons and a big check from Publishers Clearing house I would be the new owner! :D HRP

  22. What’s a decent 5w body worth?
What’s a rolling chassis with a QC and finned Buick drums worth?
What’s will the engine and trans cost?
Add all the labor if paying a shop to build?
The shop I was at paid close to that just as a starting point for some builds.

It's kind of a well done, Plain Jane Deuce. Five winder, so a bit hard to get into for wider older fellows-the ones that probably have $52K lying about. It's a nice car and probably worth it, but you could also get two far nicer Model As for the same money.

  25. ...that's a decent lil highboy but even if I had that kinda $ I'd buy somethin else and have lots of $ left over that would be just as fun, maybe more fun than that 32.... 32's are way over-rated.

Some of us have moved on from the 1990’s and acknowledge prices have gone up.

  30. For $52,000 it should have; all of the fenders, running boards, the original three speed floor shift, and a hopped up flathead. As it sits all non-original in my book $20,000.
