Ran across this car for sale in the midwest, and sounds like a scammer... just wondering if it's someone in Hamb land. Claims to be built in the 70s with lacquer paint in great condition, and all Henry steel. 00404_hEpUbXUUR9z_0hq09O_600x450.jpg 01414_drgxf2Kb3PPz_0hq09O_1200x900.jpg

  2. Well it does look like a 70s build with those tires sticking out beyond the fenders.

I emailed about it and will not give a location nor provide more details pics of interior, has me send emails to supposedly her husband to further inquire be cause she "wife" is out of town. Whole thing sounds not right. I asked explicitly if it was in a certain town, and no confirming answer. So, to anwer your question, I do not know exactly where its at...

did you do a google image search of the pics on the site where it is listed? a lot of times it leads you to the "real" ad for the car at a normal price. This looks and smells like a scam

Yes, and it does't even lead me to the initial ad... but don't find the image used any where else either.

It's been flagged...there was a thread started a while back about hanging those rear tires, possibly the image was posted there.

  17. I saw that on Craigslist a few weeks ago and sent it to a friend that buys things. I told him it looked like a scam but for $16k he’d better check it out. When I checked back the ad had been flagged.

I inquired about it also. Got an email saying to contact the ladies husband , at [email protected]. I emailed him and said I wanted to come look at it (supposedly in Topeka, KS) and only about an hour from me. And I doubt I will get an address.

Who would buy the car for 35k two months ago, and resell it for 16,300? Its clearly not for sale and a scam... I got the same BS email.

Car is real. Still in the garage. Not for sale. By all means flag the ad

  27. Jeeze, if I wasn't out of the country, working at a research center on Svalbard and Jan Mayen, I'd be all over that one :(

I totally understand the sellers issues, it is so hard to sell a car when you're in another part of the world for work ;)
