    The date is 5-5-55...Custom Car Show at the corner of Hollywood & Vermont Ave, Hollywood. Featuring Bob Hirohata's '51 Mercury with new lime-gold paint, after it was in the movie 'Running Wild', Dave Bugarin's '51 Mercury customized by George Barris, and Bob Dofflow's '49 Ford restyled by Bear Customs.[​IMG]

    Wicarnut, where is the stadium with the upper deck? I'll bet the sound was deafening. When they ran in the Hershey stadium back in the 60's I could hear the midgets from home about 3 miles away. That is all concrete but no upper deck. Sounded like a herd of bumble bees.

    Casa de Cadillac is on Ventura Blvd in the San Fernando Valley, CA. It was built in 1950 and is still operating as a Cadillac dealership for more than 70 years. The mid century architecture was amazing to a 7 year old kid. My Dad took me there shortly after it opened. He was thinking of buying a Cadillac but decided it would be too ostentatious, and settled for a Pontiac instead. The building has been restored to it's former glory. It's quite a site to see at night with all of its neon lights, large windows, and of course the Cadillacs. Ron
