finally got this a few days ago - for the time being ill make it road worthy and preserve its charactor runs - needs brakes and some other stuff such as the piece of visor that was lost some where bettween montana / new mexico...-peace all ill add a pic of my 65 f100
looks like lots of fun to me ! nice truck, i have a couple stock A's. the 65's a dandy too. had a 63 for many years and was sad from the day i sold it. have fun!
Interesting cab, never saw one like that. A lot of cars were made in to pickups over the years, looks fairly well done.
put the back window in and put an old ignition swt in from my superglide set the points and timing - starts rite up now rebuild the carb and start on the brakes - 48 star flag is fitting
first start up after i got valve free was a bit smokey pic is after smoke had cleared a few min. and of course i had to back truck out for ceremonial drive up and down street
waiting on parts so i figured I'd address the conundrum of the missing visor found this drug testing sign that was liberated from a group of rowdy drunken bikers they are some of the best people...fit in place real good so a few screws and some flat black and dun is dun
did some front end work - drag link & tie rod - new seals greez'd up adjusted steering box looked good - next up is new sneakers - so simple..so eazy...luv it
waiting on the new rubber .. on the way but stuck some where in frozen Texas .. in the mean time replaced the wood in the bed. could have gone and got nice new planks but no...found some ready willing and eager weathered 4x4s in my own back yard. ripped them down to size add some carriage bolts and dun .. had 2 hooks and some rusty chain and the bed gait is good to go!
finally got the tires hot dog! - mounted and front end alignment all set - this old relic is running like a top and ready for the road! - thats the good news - the NM mvd is about 3months behind so it may be june when its on road...bummer - in the mean time i cleanded up the mess and going to start a new one cheers every one!
roof was put on with slotted pk screws and gas weld - no idea what its off of guy I bought truck from thinks its from a coupe but who knows...
