Thanks I’m no pro but I’m enjoying the learning and the satisfaction from chipping away at each piece

Thanks i no I’ve got a long way to go but once the chassis is done then I’ll be able to move forward a lot more
    Cheers

Chassis progress pics from the builder. It’s not strictly traditional and if anyone thinks it shouldn’t be here I’ll be happy to remove the pics. It’s a little more ott than I originally wanted but I’m happy with the quality of work and far better than I could have achieved. I have left the front end pics out for suspension reasons

Very nice metal work, I really like the firewall. I wish I had done something like that on my 41 Willys pickup. Great work

Chassis came home on Monday and I put the cab straight back on as my next job will be to finish the floor. Won’t be any updates for a month or so as I am currently sorting a shed to clear some room in my workshop so I can get back on the truck
Pic from the rear as front is off topic
    Cheers Luke

Hi stogy things have come to a big halt on the truck haven’t really touched it since I got the chassis back as have been doing some work on my 40 sedan. Yes chassis did go a little too modern the builder went quite a bit past what we discussed and I’m still not 100% keen on it as it’s kind of lost the style I wanted. I knew I would have off topic front and rear suspension but wanted to stay sympathetic to the original chassis design but he got a bit carried away and it was all done when I got pics. His work is nice enough and it will be underneath and should hopefully drive well so I’ve decided that I’ll have to live with it with all the money I have in it. The top will be very stock looking just lower and slightly wider steels with caps and rings. I’ve had about 6 months out of the cars due things happening in the family and have managed to find some enthusiasm again to get back to it so once I get the 40 back on the road I’ll get back on this. I did have a nice find earlier this year a very unmolested 39 sedan which I bought home from Luxembourg to the uk. Plan was to use it as a donor for the truck
