Yes - that's Palle and Pat. I shot the pictures on the opening day of GNRS 2013. These pics among others were nearly lost since my old Mac was collecting dust until a friend of mine, an old IT expert fixed the computer. HAMB is a truly a safe haven for the photos if all the backups should chrash.

  3. That's Jack Stewart in the white shirt in the back ground. It was cool seeing the car and talking to Palle about it at the show.

A bit of filler flaking off the front fender after a slight bump creasing the molding?

Looking at it again, its from a Shoebox and although the idea is good, maybe a little overpowering and not quite enhancing the front end. Your car has great grill and wraparound "windsplits" which make it look like its hauling ass just sitting still. The chop on your car and overall style is beautiful sir.

Thanks for the kind words on the Hudson. The picture in my profile needs updating. After I took the car to USA in 2018 we made some changes on return to Australia. The grille bar in the profile picture is actually chrome plated fibreglass that started to delaminate a bit on the wrap around and the parking lights/indicators were always a problem with bulbs.
So we shortened the grille bar and added the bullets and they incorporate the indicators. In the rear I took out the Mercury tail lights and found a NOS set of 48 Hudson tail lights and added them with new overriders on the rear bumper that incorporate the indicators.

  23. I'd love to do that but I'm afraid my over riders will be too close together. Solution bridge yet to be crossed.
(AU requires amber turn signals - no flashing red.)

Not sure if you thought they are red but actually amber bulb in there.

  25. Yes, I know they are amber.
Just letting our American friends know that we cannot use flashing brake lights as turn signals.

A couple of things I see that are important to mention humbly:
    1. The grille mod looks great as it further accents the grille opening with the bullets, and the bullet size is perfect.
    2. Moving to the rear, the frenched in rear bumper is a super clean and stylish touch BUT the really cool part of that is the exhaust coming through it at the corners! I wanted to do that on my Merc but just couldn't quite get it done with the Desoto bumper I am running-yours looks better than a Cadillac!
    3. The bumper over riders look like they belong there and are very traditional and enhance the rear end too.
Your car started as a "long roof" and then you chopped it, right? Also, what year is it? I looked at these cars very seriously before I found my basket case Merc and still like them a lot. They are a great starting point for a killer custom.
