I'm looking forward to seeing them all either in progress or finished. Boy, do I remember
the double '29 kit. I got it when first released maybe 60 years ago. Geez, I'd hate to see
    your PayPal invoice! Mitch

I keep trying to get my buddy to post on here and we dropped off his birthday present the other day. He is a modeler out of control. We were rushed and at some future time I'll try for some more of his handy work.
The holes in the ramps are all drilled some 1600+. IMG_20201227_152002974.jpeg IMG_20201227_152018714.jpeg IMG_20201227_152039112.jpeg

Created a set of bucket seats for one of my '62 Chrysler Newports:
    IMG_0427.JPG
After I removed the bench seat from a spare interior, filled in the sides, and tucked the front bottom inwards, I poured a mold and cast two copies - then cut the driver's portion off them to make buckets. These will go into the mild custom and the bench will go into the stocker - after I put new floors in.

  15. Second completion of 2020. This one was started a few years ago, and was messed with and put away long term a few times before I finally dug it back out and finished it. Paint is Tamiya spray cans. Bed wood is painted and stained with one of the Testors CreateFX stains (I don't remember which shade), and the bed strips are Molotow pen. Decals are from the AMT 50 Chevrolet 3100, the Texaco version, obviously. The toolbox and gas and water cans are resin copies I made, and the fire extinguisher and jack are parts box items. I intend to make an older style bottle jack to throw in in place of the 60s style bumper jack. I intend to create a sheet of vintage Texas license plates to print on 4 x 6 photo paper, and this one will receive a 1937 Texas "122020" plate.

The fog lights are spotlights stolen from a forgotten source, and the mounts are scratch built.

The artillery wheels are slated to be used on something else, so I used the steelies here. The spare is an artillery, so I elected to use the spare tire cover. The cover pokes up over the bed side, so you can see it's empty. I found a reject resin tire I'd tried to cast, cut it apart to fit the space, and placed it in the spare tire cover so it would look like it's occupied. I strategically placed the Firestone logo in the visible area for a little added detail. I tried to pin the cover to the bed side for strength, and broke a drill bit off in the spare cover. I anticipate this will break if/when I take this model somewhere, so I will probably have to pin a chunk of styrene stock to the support inside, then pin that to the bed side for solid mounting.

The tailgate chains were made from jeweler's wire and some little chain pieces my wife gave me when she modified a necklace of hers. They are functional if you have a decent set of tweezers, good eyesight, and a steady hand.

Plug wires are sewing thread to look like cloth covered wire, and the tubes are syrene rod with holes drilled in them to accept the bits of thread.

On one hand I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, and on the other hand, I see a lot of flaws, and had issues with installing a part just to break it off later and have to glue it on again. Some of the issues seem magnified in photos, and some are less obvious in photos than they are in person. Overall, I'm pleased with it and will enjoy seeing it in my case.

Good "Sunday Models" to everyone. Hope to see a little of what you guys are up to, model-wise.
I'm also wondering if anyone has a pair of the tires pictured below that I'd like for the sedan
in the background. I believe these are from one of the Monogram dragster kits, most likely
the red and white "Long John streamline dragster". These would be the fronts. They're
approximately 1 3/16 o.d., with an approximate 11/16 opening for the rim. Actually, if
you had four stock type wheels that fit I'd be interested in buying them, too. They look
really oversize but tucked up into the fenders on red wheels and dropped, the car
should have the look I want. Thanks for you time.

I think I can help you out...
When I was looking for parts to fix my Monogram dragster, the rocket powered one, I bid on a parts lot, it had two Black Widow kits and two Green Hornet kits plus a bunch of extra parts.
Anyways in the mess are some tires , I have 2 sets of the re-release kit tires
Plus I have the wheel inserts and one set of moon disk covers.
You can see in the pic's the differences in the sets, the early one's are the harder rubber with three ribs and the
newer set are soft rubber with the fronts more ribs and a aggressive looking side wall...almost a pie-cutter drag slick look?.
The rears have a nice dirt track tread pattern.
I know your just wanting a front pair to use as rears.
The early ones ,harder rubber , are from my "Long John" dragster that I'm currently building its a original 1960 release, got to keep them, my original "Black Widow" pickup kit is also a 1960 release and has the same tires.
But if you can put a set of the newer ones to use, let me know.
What are you using for your front tires?
The white wall...did you do that your self?
I also have alot of extra parts from many kits, old hot rod parts ,body parts , hot rod engines and parts, tires and wheels, something your looking for? ask ...I just might have it.
What kind of wheels you looking for? Standard steel (stock) reverse (wide) chrome stock hub caps?
If I can help you out with anything let me know.
I gotta make up for possibly out bidding ya on the bay
    Thanks

Ya quick...don't know what way your going with your project...but if your going with the Hot Rod/Drag kind of image, I put something together that might work for ya.
    (4) stock wheels from the 40 Ford sedan delivery kit.
    (2) front "littles" tires with wide white wall inserts.
    (2) pie-cutter racing slicks ,from the old Ala Kart 3in1 kit.
    (2) wide white wall inserts
The wheels all fit the tires, wheels are the amt steel axle type, take a look.
Just happen to have a 40 sedan sitting here ...for a rough visual.
I also have the hub caps ,stock Ford script and smooth baby moon, also beauty rings for these wheels,
There molded in yellow, not painted.

Thanks for the response, Terry. When I hit on the three car Monogram purchase
the seller tossed in the tires from Long John. The slicks are gargantuan but the
front tires (three ribs) tuck nicely into the fenders. With some careful drilling for
the axles I can get the car sitting low. I figured if I had the large axled wheels from
a Monogram kit I could fill in the axle holes and redrill them for the small AMT
    axles.

My Monogram tires have the plastic whitewall inserts that should look great on
red rims. I'd want the shallow stock appearing wheels. No rings or caps. I'm going
for that simple look that you showed in the pics of your sedan. I could go with
the slightly smaller (in diameter) AMT tires. I imagine I'd be the only one to really
    notice the difference. Mitch (quick85)

quick 85 ..Here's some possibilities to consider....if you haven't come up with anything yet.
I don't have any tires, I haven't had a kit with that tire as a white wall , mine are either all rubber or the 2 piece plastic one's.
I do have 4 monogram wheels for the front tires used on the dragsters and black widow, and fit your 2 tires and 2 amt? front tires with plastic white wall inserts.
I come up with a couple of wheel sets , both from amt ford kits.
The fronts fit directly in the tire and uses the small amt metal axle.
For the rear ,I used the front rubber tire from my long john kit for reference, if you file the back side of the rim and the inside edge of the monogram wheel ,slightly, it will make it the correct width for the tire and you would need a thin plastic ring/spacer for the outer wheel half, to make up the difference/gap from the wheel to the tire.
Its easier done than what it sounds.
The tan wheels actually fill the monogram tire better and would cover the spacer ring better , but its centers are not as well detailed.
The blue wheels center have better detailing.
I shaved off the back of the one blue wheel just to show what needed ,if you went with the tan ones the rears would have to be done the same way, of course the monogram wheel would need the large axle hole filled and redrilled for the amt axle.
As far as them front tire with the white wall inserts they are not much shorter than the monogram tires
With the two that you have on the rear with the two that I have it would give it a nice big&littles stance.
There you go...if you want to give them a try PM me your address and I will get them headed your way
    Thanks
