As well as old cars I love RC cars and I ran into this for sale the other day and had to have it. It is a 1936 ford RC that is customized. I am going to take it apart and repaint it and customize it a little my way.

  3. Bought these lanterns at an auction over the weekend. A NY central, Southern and Wabash RR.

  4. This Locomotive light went a little high for my wallet.

The Overland went for about 200 but the grille, radiator, hood and motor parts for it went for over 300 and to a different bidder. ????
    The T went for 700.

The top one is a British military train light. The others are a pair of truck/train emergency lights.

  6. Some one got this for $1,200......stole it.:)

  7. That Case tractor is cool as hell. Any idea what year it might have been?

  8. I’m not sure if the year. It is an orchard tractor and it was in the best shape of the half dozen or so that were auctioned off. I’ve always liked the Art Deco look and I should have bid on this one.
They also sold a caboose from RF&P, which went for $4,500.

  10. A Frankenstein of sorts. I was told that the boiler which was taken from a steam tractor was pretty rare. It went for a lot more than I though it would.

The Case tractor shown here is a model VAO, the model was made from 1942, to 1955. A total of 6925 of them were made. Indeed, it went for far less than what it should have been sold for.

Got this out of the wife’s grandmothers garage before the house sold. 29BB99BD-B8F5-4D16-8B67-4B208958B68B.jpeg 6C30A2F2-D69F-4C31-B3EF-67168A604F1A.jpeg

  18. I was just given this by a relative. Saddle bags used by the mail carrier from a small town in southern VA. The town no longer exists.

Stock for a railroad that never existed. The Line was supposed to connect Baltimore and a port in Drum Point in Calvert Co. but was stopped by an Anne Arundel Co. law suit. They won because the bond referendum was only listed for 59 days and not the required 60 days. A great idea destroyed on a technicality.

Anyway I had to sign a demo permit for an old lady I know who lives a block away. She has a 100 year old shed that is about to fall down. I stopped over to check it out and her brother was there cleaning it out. They were filling a Bobcat bucket with stuff and dumping it in a 30 yard dumpster.
I pulled this old dolly out of the dumpster. Not worth much, but figured it would make a nice decoration. I have a weekend rental property that I have decorated with antiques and country decor
The metal basket was laying on the ground about to go in the garbage. Does anyone know what this is a carrier for? I figured it is either for carrying milk bottles or oil bottles in a service station. Anyone know?

That is a really cool dolly, looks serviceable... it's a shame how much stuff like that gets chunked before anyone who cares about it gets to it.

  26. The sides are kind of short for milk or oil. By the looks of the handle maybe it was used for dipping parts into a hot wash or chemical solution.

  28. In our part of the world your dolly is called a bag cart- think animal feed at the mill in 50 pound bags. Not sure about the metal carrier, but it is cool too.

  29. The odd coiled grip on the handle is probably there to provide some insulation from heat. Depending on the actual size of the basket I'm thinking that it likely would hold 8 Ball or Mason style canning jars to be placed in a tub of boiling water to heat their contents before sealing the jars.
