Folks Of Interest Sad news about Hamb member Chris Pistoresi

Hello all,

I am sad to report that my friend Chris Pistoresi passed away last month.

For those of us that have had the honor to meet Chris, he will be greatly missed.

His advice on helping me put together my 1934 Plymouth Coupe will always be cherished. I just wish that I got my car together in time for us to go on a trip together with our 2 PG's.... sigh

P.S. - Does anybody have any pictures if 1934 Plymouth's to share in his honor? Unfortunately I can't add a picture of my car until I go back to Kansas in a couple of months. I will look and see if I have any old pictures around to post.

Found a photo of my car the day I bought it.

Chris and Bob have both helped me find a lot of parts!

I couldn't go on without giving a honorable mention of Chris. He was a very knowledgeable guy and was also very resourceful with 1934 Plymouth parts.

Very fortunate to have known Chris. You would be hard pressed to find a nicer guy and he helped me more than once. Thoughts and prayers to family.

He helped me out a lot too! He gave my wife, myself, and my oldest son rides in his 1934 Plymouth PG, Desoto Hemi powered Coupe. Sometimes I felt that he was always looking for a reason to take it out for a drive.... And we gave him the reason to do it! Sigh... I miss him, and his vast knowledge.

Very sad to hear of the passing of Chris Pistoresi. Although I never met him, as I was growing up in the San Joaquin Valley, in the Atwater/Merced area of California, his family's auto dealership in Fresno at the time was a familiar name through advertising on TV.
My condolences to his family.

 

Sounds like I could have gotten along real well with Chris, especially considering he liked "33/"34 Mopars.
