2019 it was 8000 miles 2020 it was 5000miles a bit of a slow year. Even without shows we still drove places and met with friends.

Less than 100 . There just wasn't much of anything going on, plus, I rebuilt the front suspension, and that took longer than I thought it would.

I try to drive the coupe at least once a week weather permiting. There are a couple of long roads where I can blow it out a little if I want. There is a new stretch of highway that is 1 1/2 mile long that I tell everyone I share with the state highway patrol..............

  5. Zero. Started install of an overdrive transmission last winter, then lockdown and social distancing for Covid prevention started. Physical ailment came upon me, which prevented a lot of stuff from getting done. Got the car buttoned up, in time to put it in storage.
    Weird year.

Enough to have too many miles for my antique tag, will be buying a regular tag soon...don't need any stinking tickets.

Just got mine titled, registered, and insured this year and did maybe 21 miles then I started having shifter problems and been working on that ever since. Where's that fun part of building and driving your own hot rod I kept hearing about! Pfft!

  9. A buddy last night told me that when he takes his old car out for a drive- at least once a month- he tries to put 100 miles or more on it. Sounded like a good practice and lots of fun.

    85 miles in the 55’.
That included 35 passes at dragstrips. Usually average 300-400 miles per year.
    Happy new year everyone

Thinking of this reminds me of my end of year school reports - could do better!

I hope to be able to try harder!

Not nearly as much as usual. But not just because car events were cancelled. Partially because of that, but also because I'm building a car all year, and every chance I got I was in the shop working on it. I did get it on the road this fall, and took it on a 1250 mile trip, which was fantastic!

Less than usual this year, but I´m using the 55 Chevy as a daily so i put about 8500 miles on it , the 40 Ford, the 65 Riviera and the 56 Chevy got about 500 miles each, the Impala maybe 200 and the 34 about 100. So maybe a bit over 10k altogether.

  15. I don't have a clue as to how many miles we put on the sedan in 2020 bur we did go out of state once
the '32 and that was around 500 miles, I drove the car around town and when Brenda's daily driver & delivery Magnum wagon was involved in a accident we were forced to use the
'54 Ranch Wagon at her flower shop, we used the wagon 6 days a week for 8 weeks and racked almost 3000 miles making delivery's, probably another thousand miles just enjoying the car.

All in all nothing like in the past. HRP

  16. I always keep a gas log and I just checked it today!

    Since Jan. 1st 2019: 15,521 miles,
    average 1293 miles per month,
    761 gallons of gas, that's 20.4 mpg!

There wasn't too much going on, so I'd fill 'er up and go for a ride.
Went to breakfast with the guys in the club every week, went to lunch with the guys at the hot rod shop a couple times a week, went to every cruise night I could find within a 50 mile radius.
It adds up fast! Oh yeah, Florida wasn't locked down like other places...

Only about 4 miles. I finally got the car together enough to drive in October. I just went around the block a few times to see what needs to be addressed this winter.

Considering I put the car on the road in September, not a bad amount.

    807.3 miles!

    20201205_180905.jpg

Had quite a lot of fun doing those miles too.
3 oil changes, gearbox apart 7 times, 1 brake rebuild, 1 chassis lube service and I lost track of how many tanks of fuel...

  20. Funny you mention this- I managed oil changes, transmission service, 2 banjo rear drain and fill; the '34 got converted to a Vega cross-steer and got the roof and headliner painted; and the '40 got a new drop spring and steering column rebuild. Amazing that with the time two of the cars spent torn down that they managed to be out on the road at all.

Still...lots of fun in the course of an otherwise not-so-great year.

  22. I don’t keep track of mileage, I just drive them, I drove the convertible pretty much everyday all summer, rain, sunshine on gravel on pavement. Since I live rurally every drive adds up!

  23. Hmm...I would be guessing, but figure it is around the following:

60 Thunderbird purchased in October 5,000
    56 Fairlane 2,500
    66 C10 1000 (motor is junk)

Maybe I will try to actually keep track of some of this for 2021. Changed the oil in the Tbird last night so have a starting point.

Approx 2 miles for me or twice around the neighboorhood after putting it back together after painting, then the carb acted up and it got cold. Come on Spring.

With the Covid bullshit just about everything I go to got canceled. Maybe 1,000 miles, which by far less than usual. Already jonesing for a cruise, got a long winter ahead though.

I yanked the drivetrain out of my 61 in February so I haven't driven that car at all this year, maybe a couple hundred miles just before I yanked the motor.

I picked up my 56 Olds in July 4th, and finally had it pretty sorted by August 15. Since then, I have driven the snot out of it. Without driving it to work once (which is a rough 120 mile round trip drive into the city), I've managed to put about 4500 miles on it of just evening and weekend driving. It has literally been the only car we use on the weekends, provided the weather is dry.

Here's a pic I snapped before I left to get Chinese takeout.
