Some pictures of cutting the original dash and welding in the dash panel. I cut a relief in the new dash panel for the steering column. A piece of 1/8 inch plate was added to the back to reinforce the area around the steering column. I tried a few different ways of doing a steering column mount and this seemed the cleanest way. I added a plate at the top of the relief and used a correct size exhaust clamp to mount the steering column to the dash. I was quite happy with the result

You have given me many idea's. I am working my "T", and I am doing floors, and fire wall now. Although mine has a V8/200r4, it's different, but the same. I never stop getting idea's on things I have yet to do, from many others. Thanks, Pat

Everybody has there own way of tackling the little problems of mounting the Ts on the A chassis.

Some pictures of fitting the 28-29 Model A gauges to the new dash. Because I didn’t have a cowl fuel tank to fill the fuel gauge hole in the dash i modified it to fit the light switch and high beam indicator light. I also installed the reproduction choke cable for a later model ford

I wanted to share the pictures of the the fuel tank and battery box in the trunk of the roadster. I built a frame under the floor to support the weight of the fuel and the battery, covered it with the original floor and mounted everything on top. The frame was built from 1/8 in channel and is bolted into the car so it can be removed in case I need to make changes.

Love the work you did on the dash. If I can work out how to subscribe to this build I will!

I am enjoying what you are doing here. A T roadster is a contender for my next project if an affordable body pops up. You have some sheet metal skills for sure. I will be following along for updates

Thanks, complete T roadster body's seem a little harder to find than other body styles

  17. As far as I’m aware, if you post a message in a thread, then you are automatically ‘subscribed’ to it and you'll get notifications of new posts. If you look near the top of a thread, just under and to the right of the thread title, you’ll see ‘Watch Thread’. Click on that and you’ll be able to ‘subscribe/watch’. If it says ‘Unwatch Thread’, then you are already ‘subscribed/watching’ it.

    Hope this helps.

Great work on the bun panel. I still dream of building a T roadster one day.

    Glen.

I had to weld a strip of steel up the back because the patch panel just came to a stop there.

Just replying to a thread doesn’t automatically give you notifications when someone else posts or when the original poster updates the thread.

You have to choose to subscribe to a thread yourself.

The car is in the SW , most of the work was done at Highwood R&C by myself. That body was in pretty bad shape too
