Yes Cody, 'When is a Wayne cover not a (real) Wayne cover?' Answer: When it's on a stock, not a real Wayne head. Good history lesson here. This one might have been one of the first batch cast, early 90's.

I'm using a Best Gasket for my 261 and it's so hard and unforgiving that it was weeping oil and I was reluctant to 'crank it down'. Additional torque on the acorn nuts wasn't helping. My machinist friend skimmed the minimal amount and she is nice and true.

I don't like your inline at all, I love your inline.

have you tried it on since you had it on since you had it machined and did it fix the leak ,

i had a similar issue with my old wagon and the McGurk valve cover I had on it , drove me crazy that I couldn’t get it to stop leaking and I tried everything including having the valve cover trued , I know the two bolts holding down the valve cover isn’t much on these stovebolts but the oil leak from the top can surly drive anyone crazy

Thanks it’s been a long journey of over a decade of looking for all the right parts to put this Wayne motor together .

Figuring out the steering on the 32 . Added a modified steering arm to the 40 spindles , dropped the lower arms to go along with the dropped Axel ,mated the Nash ambassador steering box to a 1-1/2 ton f-1 arm which I reversed and bent to clearance the bones .

...More Golden Mechanical genius as per usual...there's one grease nipple that won't be blocked by steering arm...always a joy to witness...this close to Christmas...

    High praise @Cody Walls...

  5. Nice idea putting the steering arm on the spindle the finished product is beautiful. Is that axle a 2" boss? What big end mods were made to that wishbone and what did it come off of?

the wish bones are 36s spring above Axel, that I cut the end off and made them look like 32s. I have photos back. Earlier in the thread showing what I did
