Not a 100 % traditional truck but close, royal red metallic in color, ifs & disc brakes, any thoughts.
Personally I'm a big fan of Torque Thrust, I have them on my '39 Coupe..I would never run them with whitewalls though. Whitewalls and mags seem to butt heads with two different styles of cars Hot Rod vs Kustom.
Sounds like early to mid 1960's looks to me. Don't forget Romeo Palamides, Jim Ellison, and Tom Griffith formed what would become American Racing in 1956.
No, looks wrong to me. I know I have seen it several times, but I prefer black walls on 5 spokes and whitewalls on steel wheels.
I think this 58 would look better with black-wall out and all the markings removed by Diamond Back...
Hey Robert, here's something we CAN agree on Wide whitewalls and Americans (or any period correct aftermarket wheels) are a great combo if you are going for that '60s Show Car look. The whites add a bit of elegance, polish and finish to a nicely/highly detail Rod or Custom...regardless of which period rims are used. A little "angel hair" wouldn't hurt either.
This was over on the hot rod truck thread, looks to be what the OP is asking for. it would help if the tires filled the rear fenders but I have seen much, much, much worse.
I have a 41 pickup and was thinking about AR TT’s for it, but have to have black walls. Whitewalls need steelies and caps, or full wheel covers, IMHO.
I remember ( I’m sure others do too) when you bought tires and were asked “ white walls in or out”? Always in for me
