I am in North Carolina, but I found a personalized 58 Vermont plate with my initials, so that had to go on.

A little tough to see, but this was my '32 CT plate on my old '32 Ford Model B pickup truck. The chassis ran and drove fine. I was planning to put a Brookville roadster body on it, but sold it in early 2002. Wish I hadn't sold it...

  10. The plates came with the truck when I bought it. After a couple of years, they were getting pretty rusty, so when it was apart to have the front axle dropped, I stripped them and repainted. It's just done with spray paint (with the black shot through an airbrush), so I will probably have to do them again after several years. I found the topper at an antique shop right outside of my neighborhood. It won't fit on the back because the plate hangs right under the taillight, so I stuck it on the front.

  15. Sometimes I put other tabs on the plates after they're assigned to the car. Here's just a few...

  17. We got as local guy who sells plates out of a 65-66 Corvette. I bought a pair, went down to Lincoln to have the 2 old women approve them. The tag light is an instrument panel light from an old airport de-icer. Best part is, we only have to pay taxes on the vehicle one time. After that, the plates are forever
