Such a pathetic line.I find your lack of faith disturbing. When someone says that they are calling the poster a liar.

Here's my NOS Ansen slave cyl bracket:

(Before everything was set to fit/clear.)

    Ansen Blowproof Bellhousing:

The bellhousings aren't horribly rare, they can still be found.

The Weiand block letter WVC283 dual quad intake can still be found but this one is in pretty nice condition. The Eelco carb adapters it came with seem like they're a little harder to come by.

I have noticed that we all seem to be the same. We all seem to have a bunch of this stuff hanging on the walls of our garages:).

  7. I am not sure I have even seen a pair of Almquist covers. I have owned lots of Almquist breathers over the years. No one ever seem to know what they are and I like 'em well enough.

Other than pictures I have seen in their ads, this is the only pair I have ever come across. Maybe not the best looking, but they have grown on me.

    Mark,
After seeing your picture, I had to go out to the shop and see if mine had been stolen. Nope, there are at least 2 in the world ;)

It looks like that cover takes a larger OD seal, like for a SBC crank fitted with a Chrysler hemi sized snout for reliability with a blower.

@GearheadsQCE if yours has an ID for the seal larger than 2 3/8” then it’s for the hemi snout modification.

It’s a nice piece and no doubt HTF from Hildebrandt. The seal hole looked large, maybe it is just the extra material around it that gave the illusion.

Not speed equipment per-se but still cool and unique. Early 60’s NOS 283 Chris Craft Marine SBC valve covers i picked up a few weeks back off marketplace for a song. Going to put a little SBC 283 together painted to match with a raw 3x2 , cast timing cover, and some cool old cast manifolds for a future build. Thought they were neat.

How's about a "factory" tri power intake for a small block????... only a few made.. It's also printed in the assembly manual for the 1967 F body cars. Those only went into a couple of pilot cars... The option was dubbed the L-70... L70intake_05-scaled-e1636108988455.jpg L70intake_01-1.jpg L70intake_06.jpg L70_01.jpg

I know it's hard to see it because of the dirt and grime.. If you look at the bare intake, you'll notice the "Winters snowflake" cast on the second intake port from the front on the left side of the intake...
Pretty freakin' rare, ain't it??? If anyone has any additional info or pictures, please post them... Thank you!...:)

Saw that articĺe some time back and went "what the f#@k is that".
I can just hear the "I call BS", blah blah blah on that.
GM did the same thing in early 67 when they pulled the plug on the L79 engine option for the Chevy II after only a handful were built.
The best I've heard it explained is that they had just released the 67 Camaro and didn't want any in-house competition spoiling the roll-out of the new F-model.

Actually, they (GM) could have bolted that intake on the L-79 and use it in the new F body cars.... What were they thinking???...:rolleyes::(
No multiple carbs on passenger cars except for the Corvette... That was their answer.... They could have sold those over the counter and made a killing....:(
