Here is a brief review of the 36 as I see it. I think I am 4th or 5th owner since new. I bought it from a guy in northern Indiana that had it 30 plus years. The miles shown are believed to be correct and not "rolled over". It has bumps and bruises consistent with a 85 year old unrestored car. It is solid. Runs out strong. Transmission shifts fine. Brakes good, if you let it sit a couple weeks, it pulls to right first time stopping, but goes away. Rear main ( i believe) drips oil, but not alot. When running a speed, and letting off gas, it will smoke, But I just depress clutch to stop it. Does not over heat, even in traffic. Carries 40 pound oil. Charges good. I have run it as fast as 60mph, but routinely run local roads at 50 with no trouble. The trunk hinges broke on previous owner, and he use leather straps to replace them, made for hard opening of the trunk. I located NOS replacement hinges and replaced them. Tires are new. Enjoyable car to drive, steers easy. I believe the interior is all original except carpet. Windshield is cracked. The guy I bought it from said it was like that when he bought it 30 + years ago, My significant other has trouble getting in and out of this, else I'd keep it. , so I am trying to replace this car with something easier for her to ride in.
