Bumping this old thread with a hope of seeing some more nailhead items...

Here is my contribution, a pretty rare Nailhead Spalding that is currently being rebuilt by Bubbas.

A bump... I am trying to track down a 4-71 Cragar intake for a 322 nailhead...

If after a while I run into a wall I will talk to a local foundry with a view to making some up.

I have to bump this thread because I scored the final pieces to make a full dressed Nailhead in my Ford Coupe.

Great find. Do you have a Weiand intake to pair with it?

I don't have the intake, but have two pair of Weiand Valve Covers, with and without breathers:

Looks like you got a nice set up. I like the Weiand nailhead parts too. Here's my intake for the 264/322. 20201216_162645.jpeg

had a 66 gs with a 4 spd that got totaled. sold the trans to my buddy, but kept the flywheel. the dilemma is i have 3 flywheels. 2 are for a 455 and 1 should be a nailhead. anybody have casting numbers off a n/h flywheel? they all look alike.

This summer I obtained two major items for my 322 nailhead build, a vertex magneto and a 471 blower manifold.

I don't know the casting numbers, but I can tell you they both have six mounting bolts, the Nailhead flywheel will have a seventh hole that aligns with a hole in the crankshaft flange. Nails are externally balanced, if you don't align the hole it will vibrate. 455's are internally balanced.

I sure could use a flywheel for a '53-'55 322. I've been after one for awhile.

Thanks. I check in with Russ every once in awhile but so far my timing hasn't been the best. I'll keep trying.

Say Why And 2x4 and NOS Mallory with matching WCFB'S. Got some innards for it, too. And an Offy adapter to a 39 Toploader. I have a set of Early Buick Crest valve covers I have to get plated and need a flywheel yet.

i'm beginning not to like this thread. bought the altered in the spring with the intention of having twin blown v6's in it, just to do it. been a buick guy all my life, but the damn nailheads are drawing me away from my original plan.
gotta find meds to keep me straight......

Figured I’d bump this thread with an unusual Nailhead intake that was brought to the Monroe swap meet in Washington. I bought it to possibly use on my 322 I have stashed away. Need to snap some photos of my other nailhead parts as well!!! If anyone has any info about this intake would be appreciated, couldn’t find anything and the nailhead Facebook group was stumped!!!
