Hello all, Thanks for the acceptance. I have purchased my first restoration project. A 1950 dodge wayfarer business coupe. I was a body man for ten years so metal work does not scare me. I have rebuilt modern engines and snowmobile and motorcycle engines as well. Hoping over the next 10 years or so to bring this car back to life.
Welcome to the HAMB from Illinois. That looks like a great project. "Is it a Hemi"? HaHa. Will be watching your progress. Lots of helpful folks here.
Welcome to the H.A.M.B. From Dennis in Seattle. Always a pleasure to see another fat fendered MOPAR that is going to be saved. This is my 47 Dodge business coupe.
Hi & welcome. Great that you have shop & rebuild experience as that one will take some of that. Here is the links to two great sites for parts on that one - www.kanter.com www.rpbertsmotorparts.com. They both have online stores and both put out paper catalogs. I bought a lot from both redoing my 50 Plymouth Deluxe. One comment about the Hemi -- Its a small block. Dazzle them with that info. Same engine (23" head) as in my Plymouth and it will get down the road quite well. I am getting a compressor bracket built right now at fab shop who's owner has a 49 Dodge that he made bracket for and installed Vintage Air in. First project of the year will be to take out that huge under hood heater and install a below dash Vintage Air unit with heat, cool & defrost. Then it will get down these Texas roads even better. Good luck on yours. Jimmie
