  3. Is your ''buddies'' house a gas station that was photographed before 1965? JW

The stacked oil cans(?) on the far left in the shape of a Christmas tree is a nice touch! And if they are cans then obviously theft wasn’t a big worry overnight I would assume. A different time...Randy

  6. Theft may have been a problem. The tree is a little lopsided. Seems to be missing 5 quarts, just enough for an oil change. lol.

We used to leave the oil in the racks until sometime in the early 60's. By then, thieves had found out that the locks were easy to circumvent so we would empty the oil racks each night and refill every morning.

I grew up (to what extent I grew up) in Muskogee, Ok. There was and still is a station very, very similar to this one there. It hasn't been a gas station for years but the building still stands

  9. I don't ride motorcyles any more, but I would kill to have that particular Indian with the inline engine.
My first ride on a motorcycle was an Indian Chief. It was also the first time that I saw a kickstand melt its way through the asphalt and fall on its side.

The key is the elongated hole in the side where you stored the pour spout to drip out and tossed the empty cans in.
