Hey Jimbo17 Where I live it was MONKEY Wards!!! My Mom worked in the Kingston store 14 years until the day it closed up!
Note: This odd Corvair motor was designed for military use with magneto and 24 volt generator. It is fully restored and on display at the Buffalo Transportation museum.
His friends asked Bill Jenkins why he had a Corvair? His reply was "When I take it to the airport I always know it will be there when I get back".LOL
As a kid 50's, with my parents we would take a ride downtown (Milwaukee Wi.) to see all the Christmas decorations on Wisconsin ave. , then cruise up on Lake Dr. the wealthy area, huge homes well decorated , lights etc.. That was not a common thing back then, not many decorated outside like now. Another good/happy memory this AM on the HAMB, Thanks !
I really enjoyed seeing the Brass Era cars with all the "high tech" innovations like acetylene lighting. Only saw a few of these in person on the street when I was very young. Thanks for posting them.
