    Okay. Got your attention.
Over the years there have been many photos of the action posted here.
I'm thinking there must be some video of the racing somewhere ! Anyone ?????

  2. I've never seen a video...just the one in my head...and the focus is slowly fading.

I had the honor of being friends with one of the gentlemen that raced there. R.I.P. Red :(

I have seen films of midget races there and at other indoor locations in Chicago but never any thing but still shots of the drags. upload_2020-12-18_11-55-53.png upload_2020-12-18_11-55-53.png

  6. I remember in the 80's? running a Midget indoors in Chicago. Think we ran in a hockey rink? Do remember hogging a bit out of the quick change to run 10 something gears. All that alcohol and poor ventilation made the pits a 'heady' experience.

Wow, great seeing the Sedlak Motors car, as a 13 year old I used to see it parked on the street at 62nd & Harlem in Summit, IL.
Lettered on the front fender is Tuned by John Farkonas and the driver was none other than Pat Minick. I think it was Pat that lived in the apartment where the car was parked on the street just like someone’s every day beater.

Thanks for posting your photos jim32. I did not participate but went as a spectator a few times. Great memories for a high school kid. :D

According to an online article it was 1/12 mile, 440 feet and 60 ft. wide.
