This bearing thing is making me crazy! I need inner and outer front . They are New Departure , bearing #909702 ,race #909602 . Seems my KA (IFS) is a rare one . Any info greatly appreciated . I tried the Filling Station in Oregon but the numbers don't seem to match up . Thanks , mike
Me too, I have no idea what you are talking about. I didn't know Ford made a special Deluxe in '40. Especially with an IFS
You have to be able to speak Chevrolet. He needs front wheel bearings for a '40 Special Deluxe ... Shouldn't be a problem, as they use the same bearing from 1929 thru 1954 on both car & 1/2 ton.
Thanks for the reply , one of the few without sarcasm . I'm 73 yo getting a late start at these old wrecks. Had the grandson help with new front bearings , may have used a 10' cheater on them and I had to cut em off then I scratched the spindles more than I can live with ,gonna try speedi sleeves with new bearings . Hurts to spend $100.00 on a bearing and another $30 for the seal. To all the narcissists that replied , Have a good day . Interpret this , DakTo 67-68
What are you fishing for, by bringing up Dak To??? Many of us, here, were in the middle of the shit also.
I just Googled, New Departure 909702 and found several places that have them, including a NOS bearing on E-Bay, am I missing something?

I said nothing about my service there . Was wondering if anyone would know what it meant . Evidently you were a second class sailor.

Evidently you were a second class sailor.
Wow is it getting weird in here?? You may want to reconsider if you're a fit here. Thick skin is required as well as some communication skills. FWIW a second class sailor is an E5. Oddly enough I was an E5 when I received my discharge in 71
Man....I've never seen a post go off the track so quickly, simmer down boys, get out of the house for a few minutes....
