I like red wheels and full wheel covers. I remember when I was a kid, I bought some old model car kits at a yard sale. The bodies were black plastic and the wheels were red. Where in the world would a company like AMT, Monogram, or Revell get an idea like that?

 

How about orange?

 

I don't know. I don't like to get boxed in and held down to one look or style so I switch up Bumpers no bumpers mags, hubcaps, spider caps, hood , no hood. Keeps me from buying cars all of the time

 

Red wheels do not work on some color cars, but black wheels do not work on any color cars.

Had black waaaay back when, then red, then black again, same color as the car thing, and now black wide 5s on my roadster, black steelies on the pickup (or wide whites), and the coupe runs a complementary color ….




I guess you could say I can’t make up my mind?!?!

 

Not my car, not my picture, but I like the look. We use the rattle can colour recreational white for a lot of wheels down on the farm. I like the firewall and wheels with no caps, still warming up to the grille insert. But if I could find some vintage chromed fronts…

Is this a Ford color? I'm ordering steel wheels for my '32 Ford Tudor this week and I'm going to with go either a dark red or maroon or an original-ish Tacoma Yellow. Car is two-tone brown with a cream pinstripe.

Absolutely nothing wrong with red wheels on a car. The problem is usually the car itself.

 

I was waiting for the damn fad to go out style let alone come back. Red wheels suck I don't care how you try and dress them they SUCK!

I like red wheels, WW, baby moons, and rings mostly. However red won’t work on every car so I’m actually more into complimentary colour car and wheels. My ‘42 Fargo is dark blue with red wheels and WWs. My ‘32 5W will have ‘35 wires, WWs, and caps. But it will definitely have those red wheels as testament to the blood that will have been spent building the car!
