    Hey CD,

Sorry for your surgery. All surgery is not the most appealing during the holidays or even on any days. A cartilage surgery in 1966 after a championship rugby game has done a number on my left knee. Even over the years of exercise and rest, it still bothers me when I reinjure it just doing common household stuff. I know the recovery of any surgery and it is not the most endearing thing for anyone.

A friend had carpal tunnel surgery. Back then, the doctors/researchers said it was due to typing, writing and overuse of the wrist in odd angles. These days, it is now associated with family history and possible resulting injuries. Carpal tunnel surgery will put you out of action for a while, so here is something that might get your mojo working again. You have a cool Model A coupe and it had the looks of one that stepped out of a street scene in 1959 or 60 in our neck of the woods. Nice work on the Model A.

I hope you get well soon. @catdad49 ...The holiday awaits your “RED” Model A and you…

Thanks, Junji! I’m healing, getting better daily and have been model building again to help regain dexterity. Strength next and on top of that, we just bought a new house (closing on the 30th). I had a knee replaced 6 yrs. ago, so I can feel your pain so to speak, rehab is definitely the worst part! Love that picture of the A ( Wow, I’m Famous), it’s Really appreciated. Hope your Life and Holidays are filled with Wondrous 4E9D88DE-E330-47B0-84DB-162767FB4D85.jpeg things. Your pal, Carp

    Hey C,

Here I am after spending almost 6-8 months of recovery and daily trips to the UCLA Med Center Rehab Facility for ice cold whirlpool treatments. (recovery theory of the times.) Then getting in playing shape for another couple of months. Finally, taping my own knee and playing in practices and games. My wife took that cool action photo. Being 23 helped in the fast recovery times, too.

During this time, I had an El Camino and it had an automatic transmission. For the first two weeks, I could not drive that car with the post surgery knee conditions. Then it got better. So, my wife/girlfriend at the time, took most of the photos of the cars and sports action. She was getting pretty good.

That knee injury (and recovery) bothered me and I can see where the Carpal Tunnel Syndrome would bother me today. The playing and banging during the next Rugby season was the last for me in 1968. I was getting married and I had to be able to walk around during the ceremony and reception without a limp.

Happy Holidays... it was fun drawing your RED Model A Coupe as best that I could.

    Take care and stay safe...
