Customs 40 ford convertible.anyone from baltimore maryland remember this car

    I bought this car earlier this year.was told it was drag raced for years.has about a 2.5 inch ch⅕1 20200503_131723.jpg 20200422_105722.jpg op,got a carson style frame with it,no upholstery.woyld like to know about the history of the car, any pics of the car back in the day with the top on it.any history would be appreciated.guy who bought it before me said it was from baltimore.thanks for any help​

    There was 1940 ford conv with a carson top stored in a alley garage around the Eastwood / Highland Town area about 45 year ago

    Super cool car with the chopped Carson top, but you really need some better pictures if anyone hopes to identify it, specifically of the top, and the whole car, not just cropped on each end. Unique features/workmanship are the key to ID it. Unfortunately it does appear to have been modernized/bastardized from it's original form somewhat recently but not so bad that it couldn't be put back, I hope you are able to find out it's history and put it back to the way it was then.
