Technical 32 grill insert Id help (with a little pines photo op)

I've been fooling around assembling my pines this morning, and going through boxes of parts. Trying to figure out what this second insert was/is. This is all I have that I've found, but I can't find any good pictures from behind a factory insert to see if that's what it is/was.

 

The first surround is for a regular 1932 insert, the bars are missing. HRP

 

Thank you that was my first assumption, I assumed the surround would be polished. And couldn't find anywhere if the bars were removable or not

 

That surround is missing the stainless cladding and the crank hole. Yes, the bars are removable, those two horizontal pieces have a bit of “tooth” that grips them and the ends of the bars were bent a bit to keep them secure.

 

I found the stainless cladding, no crank hole though.

Do the round holes in the horizontal bars do anything? Then what holds the stainless cladding onto the insert?

 

There are a few different versions of 32 insert. Most have the stainless cladding crimped around the steel backer. Some have a wide stainless front that wraps all around the side. Others just a thin stainless. But they both look the same when all assembled.
