I know I have seen these before. The pic is just for reference as to shape but they are flat steel, in this shape. Anybody know where to find them? The snap onto a round tube and act as a clip for a wire, etc. From what i remember they are about 1/2 wide, flat steel. I could use a couple for a finishing touch on my car and I cannot for the life of me find them.
https://www.imperialsupplies.com/item/0908750?hcb=1 ...here ya go... Oops you want steel...... I will try again...
Here's some, but they're pricey: https://www.classicandexotic.com/store/p-760-bowden-cable-spring-steel-tube-clips.aspx and for "side mount": https://straight-eight.com/product/bowden-cable-spring-steel-tube-clips-side-placement/ Have fun! I used the google search term "spring steel tube clips" to find these.
I don't think I've seen a steel one in a million years. They've all gone plastic since the '90's AT LEAST, if not earlier.
Diameter required would help narrow the search down. Yeah, I couldn't remember where I had seen them until I did a search. Ain't gettin' old fun..................
You may want to try a local lawn mower dealer. Clips like this are used to hold cables to the handles. Google lawn mower cable clips and you should get some idea where to go.
Got a 10 pack for under $5 shipped. I have my temp gauge cable on my A taped to my spark plug tube and I hate it. This will do the trick!
