I am repainting one right now. About the only thing Willys is the body. Custom frame, blown sbc & so much more. The understanding was this car was built for the world of wheels show in the early to mid 90's is n the east coast. image.jpeg

  9. Not sure what that body is but I'm sure it is not a WILLYS Model 77. The body doesn't go lower than the doors on the sides on a WILLYS 77, the cowl is to round at the top, the beltline is not WILLYS either but might give a clue as to what it is. Looks like someone grafted a glass '33 style WILLYS nose on it. I believe only the Australian built cars had suicide doors but I don't think that's what it is either.

  10. Maybe Plymouth or Dodge, they have suicide doors, Now that I look at it closer, you are very much right it is not a Willys back. From windshield back is some different. Good eye !!

not a willys panel for sure, looks like a mopar with a 33 willys nose on it, everything from cowl back is wrong. Nice panel though

A friend of mine in NY, this was a 4dr.sed converted to a sedan del. Bruce moved down south 2 yrs ago. I think these converts look like a Willys sedan del. should look like.

Ha, good luck with that. Most people who have a Panel Delivery are missing the beltline moldings, myself included. I do believe that Lee Kay in California can make repro's for you. No idea what they cost. Nice score by the way. Any more pictures of it ? Does the inside have wood in it still ? Any more info, engine trans etc. ?

Just got it today, the guy I bought it from got it in 1966 for $75 and it was bone stock. He never got it on the road, the wood is gone replaced with steel tubing set up for a sbc .

  27. That copy of a page from the 1933 Willys brochure was a pre-cursor of what was to come. I believe that the first model 77 sedan deliveries were produced in 1935.
