Swiss-registered 52 Pontiac Chieftan on Grossglockner High Alpine Road, the highest surfaced mountain pass road in Austria - Sept 1952
1950 Nash registered in the city of Vienna at Velden, Carinthia near Lake Wörth. The castle, Schloss Velden, is in the background..
Very nice, now where are the 1955 to 1957 Chev Nomads and Pontiac Safaris to round out the pics? Maybe the phantom 1956 Ford hardtop wagon a few customizes built. 1 more car I promise, Rex Winter Dry n windy Lubbock TX
I've driven on the Grossglockner many, many times. It's used by motor manufacturers for cooling and braking tests. the views are beautiful and there is a glacier near the summit on the other side.
Now that Thanksgiving is behind us I'd like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. I got these two Eddie Meyer Christmas cards from Don Orosco while I was purchasing a pair of heads for a flathead I was building. Ron
Thanks lothiandon1940 ! That "top down" 1957 Ford outside the barber shop is the same as mine when I was 18 years old except mine didn't have a continental kit. I say "top down" because this is not a convertible. When you check out all the rear overhang you realize it is a retractable hardtop with the roof in the trunk. My car was this same unusual blue ( no idea the Color's name). My roof was white as this one may be. 1 more car I promise, Rex Winter Dry n windy Lubbock TX
