'54 had three ports? Now that I think of it, you are probably right. I have been watching too many "Highway Patrol" reruns with the '55 Century two door post cars with 4 portholes.

Yeah, "ME TV" at 4:00 AM here, First an episode of "Highway Patrol" and then two of "Dragnet". Great '50's-'60's car watching. You even see a hot rod or two on "Dragnet" once in a while.

  4. Some trivia, there less than 300 Century two door sedans built in 1955. All were built for the California Highway Patrol. Lightest body that year for Buick from the Special series together with the largest displacement engine (322 4bbl), both built with manual and Dynaflow transmissions.

Get the engine turned dash trim and the red liner speedometer from a 55 Century. They fit the 54 dash as they are identical. I did that to the 54 Special convert I used to own.

Tom Cat's mark there territory by backing up and pissing on things.
    I thought everyone knew that??
Maybe bcuz I'm a country boy and grew up on the farm and have grown up around Pharrell cats all my life so it just seems like other's would know about Tom Cat's too??

We had an ornery old bastard Tom Cat in our neighborhood that would piss on everyones front door...repeatedly!

Flat towed it home on those old tires? Damn! Looks real decent though, glad it went to someone who will fix it. Very interested to see how much of the old paint can be brought back.

Good score. Looks like it has the 4brrl air cleaner too. Buicks of the 50's are a beautiful thing.

Yep, neighbor's cat does that too.
I'm surprised that it rolled away after all those years. Last one I rescued the brake shoes had rusted to the brake drums and it was a pain to get it unstuck and rolled onto the trailer. Is the engine frozen or does it turn? With only 68k on the odo, it just might fire up and run ok with some TLC.

  18. So ya had a couple bad tires, it happens. Besides, with a little(okay a LOT) of polishing it’ll be just fine.

Wow you were very lucky the drum brakes weren't frozen. Also musta been a handful towing with a towbar and astro van. I'll bet that Buford weighs more that the van! I'm following along! Like it a lot!!

To help widen your search. 54 through 56 small body Buicks and Olds share glass, doors, and trunk lids. Holes for trim may be different.
