I have a build thread somewhere. I have been working on this car for years. My friend Mike came over and we had it chopped in the weekend. Lots of grinding left to do. It is a 3” chop with 1 1/4” taken out below the rear window. We used hose clamps on the posts as cut guides and it worked really well. Kept the cuts low in the back corners. I am really happy with the results, thanks Mike! Sorry about the picture order.
Looks good, the decision to chop is often complicated by anxiety of the unknown, nice amount of chop too.
Looks good.. 28/29's need to be chopped in my opinion because they are about an inch taller in the window area then 30/31's...
Super nice work , congrats . You have done well , Henry and Edsel would be fighting again over , “ Let’s make money with it or No we would have to retool “ discussion .
I like how you took some out from below the rear window. I did that on my 29 coupe too. They need that to make the window not look too high.
Thanks guys. It is all welded now and I have started on the grinding. Corn Fed- I read an old post where you mentioned that and figured that is what it needed to look right.
Hah thats funny. I guess my tastes never change. Im really warped on 29 coupes and yours is lookin' good. Keep posting your progress.
Trying not to touch the 34 until I get this A done. I have played a bit with adapting the olds to the ford 3 speed. Been selling a few parts to get a brake kit from the v8 garage.
Updates- Fuel cell in Deck lid reskined Used a 65 mustang skin for a filler panel that will be covered to look like an insert Added and fixed a hood Chopped all wood Chopped moldings Started adding a little filler
Just looked at the picture with the garage door open and thought - Canada. Can relate, only too well.
