My wife and I enjoyed a nice 241 mile cruise today. Might be the last time this year to be able to enjoy those 60 degree temps. Gene

  4. I finished the Blue Highways book today. It described a LOT of places that I have been to.

Driving these old cars is the best part of owning them --

  11. Our '50 Chevy 3100 pickup isn't nearly as nice as the cars you guys are driving but we have put over 120K miles on it and used it to haul everything from gravel for the driveway to dirt bikes to go play. IMG-0023.JPG

Put a little gas in the tank just after lunch and the wife and I went on a nice 100 mile cruise this afternoon. 40 degrees and cloudy when we left home, but we got some sun shine about 1/2 way through the cruise. Heat is a nice thing to have. We are hoping for at least one more ride before the weather turns to crap this year. Gene

I drive my old Studebaker everyday around our small town every day. This picture is not a car show. I just ran a package over to the UPS pick up place (Harrods Welding). Jerry, who helped me cut down my torque tube drive shaft with his big oilfield lath, drives that yellow '34 every single day. IMG_1599.JPG Jerry and Gary Harrod drive their trucks to work everyday.

  21. Thanks!

Ironically, I have driven mine more since this thread started than all of last year.

Then the OT late-model spit out its water pump (at 54,000 miles!) and the '53 went back into rotation as my daily last week.

One of these things is not like the others... 20201120_075010.jpeg

  25. I drive my 33 Chevy as often as I can! I love driving the back roads just seeing where they take me. It gets put away once the salt is on the roads but can't until spring to get it out again! DSC09927.JPG DSC01728.JPG IMG_8517a.jpg
