  1. I don't fully know. I can say that it has been in Albuquerque since 1981. That's the date of registration on the title.

  2. Ran a break line down #1 cylinder and cycled the engine by hand. Using the valve cover lip a my point of reference, I made two marks on the brake line. Broke out the ol dial calipers and she's a 332. The stroke was nowhere close to 3.50".
For now it'll get stuck in the corner of the garage to collect dust.

I had two 20 years ago, I was going to make 1 really good one out of, then sell the worse body. My wife decided we were moving, and I got mad & sold both of them. Worse mistake of my life. Two different guys got good starts toward their dreams.

I love me a good sedan pickup. I'll be watching.

  6. Sorry folks as not much is happening quickly. I've been busy working on my better halfs 49 Chevrolet 3600.
However this is where I currently sit on the Ranchero. Along with the rockers and quarter panels, looks like I'll be doing some floorplan work. 20210101_131254.jpeg 20210101_131322.jpeg 20210101_131341.jpeg 20210101_131346.jpeg 20210101_131351.jpeg

  7. Just to make sure that I am understanding correctly.
Are you saying that I should un-rivit those upper a-arm brackets and move them closer to the firewall?

Looking good. Maybe watching your progress will motivate me to finish mine up.

  10. I just went through your build thread. That is awesome. I'm going to borrow your idea of making the rear floor behind the seats flat.

  11. A little update. Front frame rails have been cleaned and painted. Suspension has been rebuilt. Steering has been rebuilt. Picked up some Aerostar coils, new shocks, Thunderbird spindles as I'll be running factory Ford 12" disc brakes. Picked up a 64 big block T10 to boot. 20210322_163651.jpeg 20210322_163646.jpeg 20210309_173933.jpeg 20210309_173927.jpeg 20210312_171147.jpeg

    Great Ranchero.

  13. Update for those who are following. I traded the Ranchero off for another project. I'll be posting on it soon.
