Cool, my Mom's side of the family is from Burkitsville ( pre blair witch project) enjoy yer weekend!!!

 

Not hot-rod related, but it does have an engine and wheels...

A powder-coated tank for a 70's inspired real-deal chopper! I did the gold pinstripe outlines.

 

Wet Merc - ART - wash it, drive it, rolling art.

 

I'll settle for the Corvair (and the sketch of my Aunt Grace).

 

Ha Ha! Thanks. Remind me again, which one is Aunt Grace in?

 

Now how did I know you were going to ask. My sweet aunt is the one in
the bathing suit. I'm laughing here because I happen to have a photo of
Grace in a one piece that probably wasn't meant to be seen by the kids.
Alright, enough of that!

The Corvair also caught my eye. I was looking through craigslist the other
night for Corvairs. Maybe knock out a '65 Monza?

 

What's with Corvairs all of a sudden? My father just bought a '64 Monza Spyder. Factory turbo with a 4-speed, so I guess that makes it HAMB friendly He raced and rallied a couple in the '60s so at 86 years old I guess he's reliving his youth.

 

About the only thing that makes it HAMB friendly are the number of members who have owned them over the years, the vintage ( drawn) slotted mags and the fact that it depicts a pre-1964 American car with a mild custom job. LOL! Why do ya think I dug up the hot rod art to add to the post... LOL!

Haha, I don't have a problem with Corvairs here or anywhere else, just seems like I hadn't thought about them since my dad sold his last one about 30 years ago. now he bought another and suddenly I'm seeing them everywhere.
